Using a dishwasher is not recommended. The prolonged exposure to heat may shorten the lifespan of the board.

Stella Falone is the combination of two first names. They refer to two female employees of the Crelicam ebony mill in Yaoundé, Cameroon, which supplies and processes the West African ebony used for the cutting boards. Crelicam also supplies ebony fingerboards and other parts for musical instruments. The Stella Falone brand of kitchenware products was created with the vision of helping Crelicam employees produce greater economic value around this tonewood.

The West African ebony (Diospyros crassiflora Hiern) used for these cutting boards is legally and ethically sourced in Cameroon. Currently they are produced in El Cajon, California, on the campus of guitar manufacturer Taylor Guitars, which co-owns the Crelicam mill with Madinter, a Spanish wood supplier.

African sapele is commonly used, along with other woods that feature similar color and density. This can vary based on availability, with the goal of recycling unused wood from the guitar-making process.

We do ship to the U.S. Territories, PO Boxes, and Military APO/FPO addressed, but please allow additional time for shipments as well. If your item qualifies for a return, you will need to provide a receipt, an order number, or some proof of purchase. After 120 days from the date of your order, your item(s) will no longer be eligible for a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be new, unused and unoiled. The cutting board mat must also be included with your returned item.

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.
